6 days out..
Now my struggle is getting anything in me to get some nutrition, some energy. At this point lifting my arm makes me winded.
I can't stomach much, everything tastes horrible and leaves this terrible taste in my mouth. I sip away and have been walking when I can but protein or much of anything for that matter makes me gag. Not sure what to do, trust me I've tried most of the things we can have at this stage, I know my body needs it but just physically can't get it in. Is this normal???
5 days out here. The easiest for me has been broth, no question about it. I cannot stomach Isopure anymore. I just can't do it. And I hate jello.
But whaterver. I think it's pretty normal. I felt exactly the way you're describing for the first 3 days. I focused on hydration because everyone said that if I didn't I'd end up dehydrated in the hospital again. So I just went with whatever worked. Keep trying new things. I was shocked by how good the warmed broth has tasted. Getting that down made it easier to get other stuff down. Oh, and I learned NOT to drink water first thing on a totally empty stomach. That definitely helped.
Good luck to you!
I think its normal. I had to really struggle to get anything into my tummy for the first few weeks. The thought of food made me queezy. I think all you can do is "do the best you can". Get liquids in so you don't get dehydrated. Get the protein when you can. I found chicken broth with unflavored protein powder worked for me.
Hang in there. It will get better.

I agree with the above. Get fluids, sip, sip, sip. Nothing tastes good at all at this point and there is no way to get in all the protein they want at this point either. Fluids as tolerated but don't let yourself get dehydrated especially while it's hot outside. Hang in there, it does get better soon.
