Lesson Learned from Christinahelena-Set-Yourself Up for Success

Several months ago at group Christina brought up a subject that kinda made her the center of attention and many of us made suggestions....... and she kinda felt beat up......

Why do I bring this up......because it made me aware that I was slipping in some areas and not following some of my own suggestions.......

Were all on the go and we need to dictate where we eat and what we eat. Let's face it..... it's easier to find crap food than good food.

So, it did make me think across the board and I'm pretty good for the most part, but I did pinpoint an area in which I could improve.

I have a workshop about 20 minutes away that I always seem to get stuck at that mess's with my meals. The surrounding area actually has an excellent selection of places to eat, but sometimes I just don't want to take the time it takes to "do it right" so I found myself ordering a quick bread less sandwich or burger.....not bad.... but not great and room for improvement.

So Christina's discussion made me think of ways to tighten up my meals at my workshop.

So now at the shop I have equipped it with:

- Mini fridge

- Coffee maker

- Microwave

-Toaster oven

- Portable Butane burner

- Gas Grill and an electric grill

In the area we have this ultimate grocery store called Berkeley Bowl West...... the best meats and veggies just down the street.

So, today I rode my bicycle for exercise and on the way back I stopped at Berkeley Bowl...... picked up a couple chops, a zucchini and some shrooms.

In the time it would of taken me to go eat someplace, I got my exercise and cooked a meal that I know is on point for me.

***I also keep some of my MRE type foods there also like canned tuna and such.

So, I spent about $8 and I have about 4 meals worth of food.

From Christina's topic at group..... I fixed up part of my deal.....

Looks awesome as do. All your meals. I am very guilty of not taking time for myself. I am trying to be more accountable in what I eat.

Pre planning and pre positionning elements is key indeed. Your food looks grand even on a paper plate and with a plastic fork!!!

I love this.  I think this will help you stay where you need to stay and will help keep you focused on eating right.  The food looks great, what else is new?  Now I am getting hungry and it's only 10:20 in the morning.....Darn you and your food porn.

On a totally unrelated note, I went to see "Tainted Love" last night, they are the very best 80's band I have ever seen.  They mostly play at casinos but they do get to SF and bay area sometimes.  They put on an amazing show, not just music, but big concert type deal, with videos and special effects, it was fantastic.  They play all the different  music from the 80's from hard rock to pop to new wave; and they are really good at it.  If you ever get a chance to catch one of their shows, you will not be sorry you went.
