I officially begin a normal diet tomorrow! Now I need suggestions on cold finger foods to eat. I don't have access to a microwave most of the time. I have seen the idea of wrapping a string cheese with a piece of deli meat. That is something I will be doing. Just wondering if anybody else had any ideas? Thanks a lot!

I love tuna salad stuffed inside celery. I get the crunch I want and all the flavor.

I ate a lot of deviled eggs early out - Tasty and high in protein.  I also had lots of tuna salad and chicken salad - though they aren't so much "finger foods"

best wishes,

Carol

I love the Costco roast chicken because it is moist. To make it a finger food, wrap a piece in a lettuce leaf. I buy the lettuce pre-washed and cleaned into whole leaves. If it is still too dry, add a little sauce of some kind.

Baby Bel Light cheese (I like mine with Special K crackers, but skip crackers if you are sensitive to carbs)

Beef Jerky

Whole green beans or other veggies with dip made from fat free plain greek yogurt and ranch dressing mix

Fat free greek yogurt mixed with Splenda  in a to-go cup with lid (not a finger food, but so good)

Edamame (watch how much you eat of these - they are calorie dense for the amount of protein you get)

Boiled shrimp. I like the ones from Costco that are cleaned with the tails on.  They come in the freezer section. I buy the raw ones and boil them myself.

Greek Yogurt, cheese sticks, lettuce wraps (taco meat and cheese, tuna, egg salad, turkey, cheese, so many options.  I buy the Romain bunches and use those leaves, perfect.  Wash the whole head, dry and then wrap in white paper towel and store in container or zip lock in fridge to use when needed), celery with nut butters or laughing cow cheese, beef sticks, cottage cheese, cucumbers with hummus, pea pods and hummus, hard boiled eggs, I like cold Italian sausage stir fry, cold chicken salads using baby spinach, afternoon treat of Syntax Cappuccino protein drink... YUM.

Have fun on the new phase!

I eat these type of meals on the road quite often too.

Boiled and peeled eggs
Egg Muffins-bake eggs with meat and veges in muffin tin (like these for easy breakfast bc they do need to be warmed)
Deli meat roll ups with cheese, laughing cow, cream cheese, spinach
Cottage cheese
Grilled chicken strips
String cheese
Tuna salad
Chicken salad
Salads
Shrimp
Meatballs

Hope those might give you some ideas. Good luck!

Amy
