Getting frustrat

I got on the scale earlier this week and it said something crazy like I gained six pounds!  Naturally I was saying WTF?  I started thinking that I'm found something wrong.  I am early out but geez I really do feel like I can eat a bit more than people say they were able to eat this early out!  How much is everyone measuring out?  I need to start being better about measuring because I DO NOT want to fall back in to bad habits this early.  I haven't been back on the scale since because it just makes me feel bad and gets me discouraged.  I have been pinning recipes on Pinterest and trying to eat my protein because me and the shakes aren't agreeing right now.  Help!

thanks,

ro

Could be a lot of things.... Maybe salt or lots of exercise for water retention... Stick to the program and try the scale in a week....

Definitely measure and track everything - then you will have a good idea of what is going on.  One thing to check is the batteries on your scale - if they need changing you can get some crazy readings.  I always weigh twice when something seems too high or low...

Finally - it can be hormonal - just before Aunt Flo pays her visit my water weight can spike and the scale can go up some, not 6 lbs, but a few.

Hope that helps!

I am 10 months out and measure 2oz of protein and up to 1/4 cup of veggies. I could not see myself eating 4oz of protein like the previous poster, I wouldn't even try. I can sometimes eat 3 oz of fish because it sits differently then chicken.

I recommend measuring and tracking everything. I am 10 months post op and still do. It helps me stay accountable.

A fluctuation that much could be water intake, I always seem to increase on the scale around that time of the month.

Try to increase your water as well, that really can help.

Good luck!

I have been drinking a lot of fluids but I also just downloaded my fitness pal!  I am going to start walking in the morning for thirty minutes because I haven't been cleared to work out like normal because of an incision that's been a pain in my rear!  I will measure starting ASAP!  I didn't go through this to see the scale go up for sure.  I hope things start working out and I'm on the right path.  I'm going to aim for 600-700 calls a day and see how that goes

I can eat 1 1/2 oz of protein and a small amount of fruit or vegetable. I have learned to undereat my sleeve and feel more comfortable for it. I don't have any problems as long as I eat like this.
