Sushi!
A few months ago someone asked about eating sushi post-op and was told they'd probably only be able to eat half a roll. The poster got a little pissy and I remember thinking to myself "only half a roll? Surely I'll be able to eat a whole roll post-op!"
Well last week I had sushi for the first time post-op. I ordered a single roll and, you guessed it, ate 1/2. It was two very perfect meals.
That's my sushi story. Yum.

I had one of the random speciality rolls that the place served, it had shrimp and avocado and cucumber, and asked for it to be light on the rice. (I had been dragged out to a restaurant with a friend, so it wasn't my "usual" sushi place.)
At my usual place I'll be getting something called a Spicy 2 in 1 which is "Shrimp tempura and avocado inside, topped with spicy tuna and spicy salmon." It's very meaty and doesn't have much rice!

So an entire sushi roll looks like this --
But it is always served cut into, normally, 6 pieces. So that you're served something that looks more like this --

So half a roll = three of the six slices? That's not so bad (I used to eat six rolls or more). I do miss sushi, my cheap tightwad personality rebels at spending the money on sashimi.

Yup! Three slices of six was what I had and it was a glorious meal. (For my sushi funeral I ate 10 rolls. OMG. I still can't believe I did that.)

You're welcome! I hope that it helped and I hope that you enjoy your first sushi! Don't be afraid to order it with less rice.
