What Size Am I?
A friend of a friend linked this on Facebook today -- http://sizes.darkgreener.com
What a lifesaver! I'm going thrift shopping with a friend today and I have no idea what sizes I should even be looking at! I like that this gives me a bit of a ballpark. (And, OMG, it says 16s. I was 26 in January!!)
I've also never in my entire life gone shopping for clothes with a friend. Ever. I feel like this is some female rite of initiation that I'm finally getting to go through at the age of 37.

You'll have a lot of fun and will find out that you'll be 3 different sizes depending on the store you go to. Want to feel really GREAT about yoursel*****o Old Navy - all their clothes run about two sizes smaller than most department stores - lol! It's the only way I'll ever see a Size 4 on these hips :-)
Agreed--you can definitely be more picky now. I'd encourage you to do just that. Buying something just because it fits is an old habit I have had to break myself of. Have fun shopping!
Enjoy your shopping spree! I remember my first clothes shopping trip after reaching maintenance - going to a regular dress shop and finding I fit into mediums and even a small! That was the best NSV! You'll love it!
Best wishes,
Carol

If you are looking at pants, I read a great trick here and it works -- at least for me! Hold the pants up to your neck and wrap the waist around your neck. If the waist goes comfortably -- not too loose, not too snug -- around your neck, the pants will fit you.
Sounds crazy but it works like a charm for me. Helps me narrow down which pants I will even bother taking in to the dressing room.
