Halfway to GOAL!

I was just updating my ticker and realized that, as of this morning, I am halfway to goal! When you start this process at a BMI of 57, it's almost unthinkable that a true normal-weight goal is even attainable, but it suddenly seems doable. I'm also thisclose to my BMI being out of the 40s! A few people have started calling me "skinny" every time they see me - now, I'm FAR from skinny at this point, but it's still pretty nice to hear!  I know it's not going to be all rainbows and butterflies from here on out, but, man, having surgery was the best decision I've made yet.

Here's a pic of me riding a fair ride this weekend - something that would NOT have been possible (or even attempted) 96 pounds ago:

April:  HW- 323, SW-310, CW-159 (as of 9/25/15), Goal- 140; Pre-op (-13), M1 (-17), M2 (-16), M3 (-14), M4 (-13), M5 (-12), M6 (-8), M7 (-12), M8 (-8), M9 (-8), M10 (-5), M11 (-7), M12 (-5), M13 (-7), M14 (-0), M15 (-1), M16 (-5), M17 (-5)

Congratulations. I am so happy for you.  You look great, and you look so happy!  I started with a BMI of 60 so I am right there with you.  Now my BMI is 24!  unbelievable.  When I started out, I just wanted to be below 300.  In my more hopeful moments, I thought I'd get to 250 pounds.  I now  weigh 157 and people who meet me now can't believe I could ever have been obese.  What a trip this is!

Again congratulations.  you are doing great.

I just got my BMI out of the 40s, and boy, was I happy    It was a big milestone and I completely understand where you're coming from.  It's hard to believe that I have less to lose than I've already lost.  It makes my head spin at how different my body feels to me now.
