Thank you so much for your kind words.  You've been a great help and inspiration to me thru this process, as well.

best wishes,

Hi Carol,

i see you on here all the time since I joined and had surgery a little over two months ago. I cannot tell you what a great source of inspiration you have been. I can always rely on knowing I will see a comment or post from you and now I get to thank you for sharing your story of maintenance. Congratulations on your consistent fight to stay on track! And congratulations on your weight loss! And thank you most of all for your honest and straightforward telling of the journey. I've got to find all your recipes, my diet has become a bit dull.

Hi Kathleen,

Thank you so much for your kind words.  I'm so glad that I've been able to be a support.  I'm so glad this forum exists and has so many kind people contributing.

I hope you enjoy the recipes.  I've really come to enjoy cooking since I've started the weight loss process.  I just tried a new recipe yesterday that has chicken thighs, apricots, Kalamata olives and capers.  Its so yummy.  I'll post it on the recipe forum soon.

Again thank you for your kindness.

Carol

Hey Carol, great post. You got this figured out. Normal weight is a life long process and not just 18 months of diet. Be prepared for changes and adjustments but it will work long term if you choose to.  Thanks for sharing your thoughts and keep it up. Too many people think of this as a one year project.  Even skinny normal people work at it.  Its so worth it. I feel like I made a new deal - trading in atrocious eating habits for my health.  A good deal indeed.   Diane S.

Thank you for this post. You are just the inspiration I need right now. I just found this site and joined today. My VSG is scheduled for July 28, 2016. I'm currently running the gamut of emotions as the date approaches. After 8 months of preparation for this surgery, I can't believe we are now down to the wire. I'm scared. I'm excited. I'm anxious. I'm sure I'm going through nothing that everyone else has not experienced. Your positive words are encouraging. Again, thank you and best of wishes on your journey.
