How long did it take you to loose 100 pounds?  Just curious... I know everyone loses at a different rate, but I'm trying to get my enthusiasm for surgery back up to the high end!

I started at 273, 5'6", was 50 years old and it took me exactly 10 months.  I'm now at 18 months and I'm down 131.  I only have 2 more lbs to dr's goal and 7 to mine.  I think I'm about average.   I know everyone says you can't compare yourself to anyone else but it's nice to know if you are doing about average anyway. What a great question, Jewelring.  You sound like you are where I am - thinking the surgery is a great idea, but the closer and the more real it gets the more anxious I feel.  The answers you got just blew me away.  As far as I'm concerned, if 100 lbs is gone in a YEAR that's amazing, so these times are just mind=blowing! Hope it helped your enthusiasm!  I know it did mine. Ruth
