Hi- I am 15 months post-op and I have lost about 185 lbs- which is HALF of me!  I'd like to lose about 30 more- but, yet I am happy where I am too.  I do not dump, and I have had to WATCH what I eat so that I don't gain, or slow down the losing.... because I don't have the dumping to warn me! So- we just had a Jamba Juice open by us- others are 50+ miles away, and never had a desire to try it before.   My daughter got a Mango one with an energy boost - she said you can get protein boost ones also.... well, I tried ONE suck.... OMG!  It was soooo good, I had about 40 sucks!  So, until I find out if it is bad for me.... I'm not going to try another with or without protein and energy boosts!! They say it's all natural, but, even natural is loaded in sugar.... Any ideas? ~Pebbs

Go to Jamba Juice's website.  They list the nutritional info on their website.  The best bet is the small low calorie ones they have.  But still they run around 200 to 300 calories, and yes lots of sugar.  You may also want to check at the store.  All the Jamba Juices around here have a book in their stores that list all the nutritional info for all of their drinks.

I agree.  My nutritionist has a lot to say about fruit juice, and most of the Jamba Juice menu isn't even 100% fruit juice, though they have a 100% fruit juice line.  She has fruit juice on the limit or avoid for life page of my book.

You can do whatever you wish and everyone is different, but I'd say to drink them in moderation if at all. a small there is 16 oz, so if you get a flavor from the 'enlightened' line and then got a protein boost PLUS an extra protein boost added so it was 26 grams of protein, you'd be drinking around 200 calories with 32 grams of carbs. 27 of which are sugar! (the site says it's 160 calories, but they aren't factoring the protein boosts, and protein poweder is high in calories)

If you don't dump, then it's not the worst thing you could eat in the world, but a piece of fruit and a protein shake or glass of water would surely be better.

I drank the drink above from Jamba Juice heavily in my pre op diet days.  It tastes great.  If my nutritionist hadn't put fruit juice on the avoid page, I'd probably migrate back to them, but I, personally, plan to stay in compliance.

I have a problem getting in my protein and eatting very much solid food! Stricture problems! So I almost daily have JuiceItUp protein drinks! Yes the are about 300 cal but I gt 51grams of protein and it takes me several hrs to drink! I have found Jamba Juice drinks to be a little sweeter than they are! But my nut says my drinks I drink are ok just as long as I realize the calories and the proteins. It's also loaded with fruit and the one I drink with yogurt! Check out the nut of the drinks online. If you enjoy it have a little!

I would see if they serve lower carb/lower sugar versions...  Their shakes are basically a "meal" loaded with calories, carbs and sugar... most NUTs will tell you to stay away from places like this and dont drink your calories... a lot of times people dont realize how much is in those little shakes, drink them and then eat... those liquid calories can add up if you don****ch them!!
