Do You Eat Only When Hungry Or Eat On A Schedule After Wls?

I KNOW BEFORE WLS THEY TEACH US TO EAT  ONLY WHEN HUNGRY TO AVOID ADDING EXTRA CALORIES AND POUNDS, NOW I WANT TO KNOW HOW DOES YOUR WLS WORK FOR YOU AND  STAY HEALTHY '' LONG TERM ''WITH GOOD LAB  NUMBER RESULTS?  I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO EAT ALL THE TIME (WHICH I DO NOT LIKE DOING)  I'M A CONSTANT WORRY WORT ABOUT MY NUTRITION,,THAT'S WHY I KNEW WLS WAS RIGHT FOR ME AS FAR AS PORTION CONTROL,,AND I HAVE ALWAYS LET MY HEIGHT BE A FACTOR FOR BEING A WORRY WORT..YA KNOW I'M 6'0 AND KNOW YA GOTTA FEED ALL THOSE EXTRA INCHES OF BONES TO STAY STRONG,,ARE YOU EATING ONLY WHEN HUNGRY OR ARE YOU ON  A SCHEDULE? I eat about 6 small meals a day. I am never hungry so i have to remember to eat ..I was very malnourished in July so i do not forget to eat now. Good Luck to you..Val

I try to get a little something in every 2 to 3 hours still, to avoid the super hunger once I feel hunger... I noted early on if I let my self get really hungry... 9 times out of 10 I was going to dump, because I ate too fast or too much... so every few hours a cheese stick prevents the puke monster from visiting. 

There is this happy medium, as If I am not careful I see the every few hours thing turn into grazing and God knows I dont want to do that. 

Early on it is good to space it all out so you can get all the nutrition you need to get in.. as early on hunger is not one of those things we experience, only head hunger... which is its own monster all together.

      I try to eat on a schedule or I forget to eat.  I rarely get hungry.

I don't remember being told to eat only when hungry. I think most of us don't experience actual physical hunger for quite awhile (though the head hunger can be brutal). I eat three meals a day and if I want 2 or 3 snacks. I can count on one hand how many times I've been physically hungry, so I eat on a schedule. Best of luck to you.

Always on a schedule.  I eat every 3 hours or so.  If I don't I definitely get hungry and I am more prone to make bad food choices.

I don't get hungry anymore, so I just eat every few hours.  If I haven't eaten in awhile, I eat something with protein (usually something like beef jerky or cheese).  If I only ate when I was hungry, I'd probably end up going days without eating. I don't really eat on a schedule though...like everyday at noon, etc.  I'm not much of a schedule person.

I usually eat on a schedual to get in all of my nutrition, today i thought what the heck, I will just do protien drinks most of the day I wasn't hungry all day.  Then I worked out for about an hour and a 1/2......by the time I was done and I was logging my work out, I almost passed out.  I called my surgeon and he said my blood sugar level probobly dropped and I need to eat something especially before working out.  So needless to say I am going to stick to my eating schedual and try to eat a little bit of something whether I am hungery or not.

I eat on schedule every 3-4 hours, if not I will get super hungry and will over eat and I don't want to do that.

i have all the food i need for the entire day ready for me first thing in the morning and take it to work with me. i eat pretty much constantly from 8am until 5pm because otherwise, i won't have enough time/room to get in everything that i NEED. i ONLY eat what i brought with me and i make sure that i eat ALL that i brought with me. then after 5pm i only drink water or milo's splenda tea. works for me...
