Protein water -- worth it?

Have you tried protein water?  Would you recommend it?  I saw some at the store today and was thinking of trying it, but I really don't enoy the flavored water so I thought I would check in with my OH experts!

Not worth it for the money in my opinion... but if you like the taste go for it.  J

Be careful with the sugar content.  The ones I looked at in Wal-mart had too many sugar grams.

I am in the learning stage right now.  I go in for my consulation on the 16th of this month.  How many sugar grams is too much?   thanks, Sherry

When you go for your consulation, make sure you ask about how much sugar grams.  My doctor told me to go 5 and under and that's what I do.  I've seen some people have more.  I don't know if I would dump if I eat more because I do not go over 5.  Also, ask about natural sugars (like in fruits).

it tasted ok, but keep an eye on the sugar. Some are too high in sugar and can cause you to dump. ~ Terisa

If its the Stacker2 brand protein water with 20gs of protein (good whey protein isolate protein) and no sugars, then YES!  I use them and think they're great, with an awesome nutritional profile.  20oz of liquid for 20g of protein makes it a big drink, but sometimes I want my protein almost as light as water instead of a heavy bar or shake.

I wish more people would try these Stacker2 protein waters.  I think they taste pretty good, better than both Isopures and the new whey bullets.

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to try this.  I don't drink anything bu****er or milk. So I figure why not get some protein while drinking it. I do like the Special K and have bought quite a bit getting ready for surgery. Where did you find the Stacker2?

In my grocery store it is on the same shelf as the special K protein water.  It comes in three flavors.  Pink lemonade, Green Apple, and Grape.  I like the grape best, personally, but will drink all three.  If you can't find it in your grocery store, I know you can find it on line.  It beats the heck out of the Special K protein water if you go by its nutritional profile.

Haven't tried the Stacker2 powder, although I will be looking for it the next time I am at the store.  I have tried the Special K protein water and was not a big fan of them.  The other day someone posted a link to get a coupon for one free single 2go-pak of protein powder.  They are from Designer Whey and the coupon is for GNC.  I printed it out...anything for free I am willing to try.  It says it has 10g protein per pack.  We'll see......
