I don't understand how b12 makes your hear rate slow. I had a slow pulse since a teenager, normally about the 55 you state you have now. Last year, I had many dizzy spells, and fainted twice in my home. I aggressively sought resolution from my doctor. After 3 tests with him, a referral go a cariologis, a test with her, we had found out the problem. I had documented pulse readings of 38 and 45 at the doctors office. That's the reason I felt dizzy. Test read on a consult with cardiologist on Thursday, and surgery on Feb. 12 for a pacemaker. Feel fine now.

I Thought It Made Everyone's Heart Rate Slower.. Oh I Think It Reacts This Way For People That Have Higher Anxiety Issues...(Thats Me) I Am Learning Homeopathic Lifestyle After My Open Heart Surgery,, Instead Of Taking Celexa, I Take Vitamin B12... Celexa Helps With Anxiety But Also Damages Your Liver So I Take B12 For My Anxiety And Works Pretty Good,, It's The More Natural Way..I Stay Calm..... Well I Usually Take 250 mg Of B12 In The Morning Then 250 mg At Night. I Started This Way Before My Wls...That Works Very Well For Me. Been Like This Ever Since My Open Heart Surgery Not The Wls.. I Had A Pretty Tramatic Open Heart Surgery That Caused Me POst Tramatic Stress Syndrone,And High Anxiety. I Took More Today Because I Was Feeling Very Anxious,,Or Actually Feeling Angry.. Yesterday I Got My Hair Cut At The Beauty Salon,And As ALways They Cut too Much,, I Told The Hairdresser To Take Of 1 in. And Ended Up Taking Off About 2 inches.. Now My Hair Is Back Up To Above My Shoulders, Which I Am Not A Short Hair Type Woman,, I Won't Go Into All The Details But It All Goes Back To My Anxiety With The B12..So To Keep My Cool I Took Extra B12 ,,Now Paying The Price For It I Guess, If I Drink Coffee That Would Just Bring My Anxiety Back Up Again....It Was An Interesting Idea Though.. Thanks Again for The Suggestions........Wendy

Who told you that Celexa damages your liver?
B12 won't have any effect on your anxiety, whereas Celexa can be helpful, if it's taken regularly according to your doctor's directions. At least, I hope the doctor who prescribed the Celexa for you knows that you're not taking it, and that you're prescribed yourself B12 in its place. This probably accounts for your inadequately treated anxiety attacks.
B12 at least doesn't have any side-effects, and you could take 500mcg of it several times a day without worrying about it (other than the fact that it's not effective for anything but preventing B12 deficiency.) It's good to take it daily to prevent B12 deficiency since you're a WLS post-op, whether or not it helps your anxiety.
