So, last night W and I are sitting in the kitchen having dinner (which is rare)....and he's telling me a story....as I'm looking at him and listening I see something scurry quickly down the bamboo blind!......
It sure doesn't look like your average bug!!!!!!
I tell him to pause what he's saying and let me check this out...I get up, staring at the spot where this thing is, as I approach it I can finally make it out behind the sheer curtain....
It's a TINY little lizard!!!!!!!
See....living in Montreal, we do NOT get lizards in the house LOL...but, we have a friend who is a plant wholesaler and after W had done some work for him (I used to work in this man's warehouse running the flower company too)...he gave him a big potted hanging plant for me....it must have come from there
(my sons have had many exotic lizards and frogs from when I worked in the same warehouse LOL)
Needless to say, I'm wondering now if there are any more...this little bugger is no more than a hatchling! He's barely an inch long LOL...not like I can feed him crickets!!!!
So, that was some of my excitement this week (other than stuff on here
)
What have YOU found in your home lately that is *unusual*???? LOL

Girl please, those lizards in Panama running like crazy through our patios were just about the size of dinosaurs .. eww .. there were tinier ones in the beams under the roofs of the houses and they could fly from one wall to the next - I can't believe we are buying a house in the country to retire there -- I guess I will have to re-aclimate (sp) myself. A couple weekends ago we were dealing with these horrible centipedes that finally chased me out of the house and out to the beach where I made a donkey of myself trying to swim with support hoses on - what a mess! (lol) ... enjoy your baby critter --- I am not good with crawling things - they have to walk and be pettable (lol)... otherwise I PASS.

I can't do centipedes and we have them in this place, big time in the basement..but i have had a couple chase me down on the main level too! They are what taught me that I can't scream when I'm scared to bits LOLOL

I WILL remain POSITIVE and by such thought---it SHALL be!
Thecentipedes in this rambling old house of ours I believe are mutants of some sort - you kick their butts and they refuse to die - the exterminators were over and I think they just got a high off whatever they sprayed because I have seen a couple of them since invading my territory in my bedroom nonetheless. The other morning I was about to sit on the john when one of they came running across the floor towards me at the speed of lightning - I jumped on top of the toilet and screamed at the top of my voice - I even hyperventilated behind the centipede from hell - they look like pieces of wood with a billion and a half feet - you can smack 'em with your shoes all you want to they keep on running straight towards you - I have been sleeping with one eye open and the other half shut - I just know if one of them touches me I will have a stroke .... centipedes and spiders and I am DONE ewwwwwww (lol)
you actually tell your husband to "pause" when he's speaking? like, you use the word "pause"? lmfao!!
we usually just get blue tailed skinks in our houses. as a matter of fact, kensie's keeping one in a hermit crab container right now and feeding him worms and water. this is what they look like in case you've never seen one:

LOL well I had to say something before I jumped and freaked him out..he hates anything that creeps and crawls LOL...especially snakes and lizards!
OK I love skinks. I never did look these guys up. I had brought one home once that was 6 inches long....then I brought the kids a frog we found in one of the plants...after awhile..the frog ate the lizard!!!! LOL
