Today while I was at my son's baseball game I heard that pitchman Billy Mays died. One of the boys on my son's team is from McKees Rocks,PA where Billy Mays is from. They are friends with Billy Mays family. During the game he got a phone call telling him the sad news. McKees Rocks is a small community. Another early death, Billy Mays was only 50 years old. A wonderful and influential voice is now silent.

Is he the guy that does the yelling infomercials? He drives me nuts! He probably yelled too loud and blew a gasket during a commercial. His family has my sympathy, but I can't say I'll miss his annoying voice.

This is the article that was on-line locally since he is from the Pittsburgh area. Sounds like a head injury just like what  happen to Natasha Richardson in her skiiing accident.

Famous TV pitchman and McKees Rocks native Billy Mays, 50, was found dead this morning in his Tampa home, according to Tampa police.

Tampa police said Mays was found unresponsive by his wife earlier today. A fire rescue crew pronounced him dead at 7:45 a.m. It was not immediately clear how he died. He said he wa**** on the head when an airplane he was on made a rough landing Saturday, and Mays' wife told investigators the TV personality didn't feel well before he went to bed that night.

There were no signs of a break-in at the home, and investigators do not suspect foul play, said Lt. Brian Dugan of the Tampa Police Department, who wouldn't answer any more questions about how Mays' body was found because of the ongoing investigation. The coroner's office expects to have an autopsy done by Monday afternoon.

U.S. Airways confirmed that Mays was among the passengers on a flight that made a rough landing on Saturday afternoon at Tampa International Airport, leaving debris on the runway after apparently blowing its front tires.

While my heart goes out to his family, I cannot say I will miss this man's yelling on TV.  His commercials were totally obnoxious and nearly blew my TV up.  No wonder I finally shut the darn thing off and don'****ch it anymore!

My condolences to his family- I'm sure they are in shock beyond belief- I especially feel bad for any children that have just lost their Dad.

that being said- I don't care how many times he said he wasn't yelling- that he was only excited- to my ears- it was YELLING!

then I had this awful thought about a car dealer in our area- probably your area as well since he seems to be buying dealerships all over the country... Billy Fucillo says- "it's HUuuuuuGE!"
I'll go back to riding a horse before i buy a car from that manaic!

(come to think of it- my own Dad had the BIG BOOMING VOICE-
after all these years - I wouldn't even mind if he yelled at me one more time!)
