What did you eat on your last day before liquids?

The meals aboard an Air India jet, which were surprisingly tasty, and not surprisingly spicy and curried. And Coke, as much of it as I could get, since I knew it would be the last.

my cousin made me spanish rice, I LOVED it and we ordered pizza from my fav place, and my friend brought brownies and cheesecake... I had some people over celebrating, but only those who cared enough to be supportive!! It was a great time!! now I wish I didnt forget the buffalo wings!!!!

Good Luck!!!

My last supper consisted of a trip to one of my favorite resturants "Houston's". There I over indulged in a Hawiian steak, loaded baked potato, house sald and the world's best key lime pie all with a lovely french martini.

I say do it big because you will have no desire to eat for a while after surgery.

Have fun

I drank as much mountain dew as I could the last few days prior to starting the clear liquid diet...and my last meal was bacon, eggs, sausage, toast and hash brown...DELICIOUS!!  Good luck with the surgery...my prayers are with you and all those having surgery this week!!  It's all worth it!!

I did not get to have one, I went to the surgeons before my surgery and he announced- NO carbs between now and then, and the last two are clear liquids.....ugh. I was said I just wanted a couple of bites of tiramasu, but I did not have any as he said no carbs. I ate lettuce and grilled chicken until clear liquids.
I think the pre-op stuff worked as he said my liver and insides could not have been better...whoo hoo!

Maybe one day I will get to have A (a- one single) bite of tiramasu for my birthday or something.  Time will tell.

I hope you enjoy your meal and your journey!!

I only had to do liquids for one day. I think I had a donut for breakfast(mostly because my daughter asked me to get her one).  I was planning on having Popeye's chicken for lunch but the only one near me is at the mall and I did not think it was that important. I do not remember what I had for lunch but I had steak for dinner because we went out for my son's birthday and he picked a steak place for me.

The day before I began liquids I went out to lunch with a good friend.  I ordered a delicious chedddar cheese burger  and fries and couldn't even fini**** because i had eaten so much crap leading up to that day, that I was just sick of eating.  Kind of anti-climactic!  Good luck this week.  Look forward to hearing how well you surgery went in a few days!

My last meal was a sandwich and french fries, which so wouldn't have been my "last meal" lol -- I had lunch that day thinking I had a wee****il starting the liquid diet and then the hospital called and moved my surgery date up a week. Voila! Start your liquids now! lol

Leanne--

2 days before surgery, my husband and I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant and I had 1/2 pound of grilled shrimp with chile macaroni and cheese and jicama slaw.

Ironically, last night was my first restaurant meal since my surgery and I ordered the same thing and was able to eat a few bites of my husbands Ceasar salad, 3 shrimp and 3 bites of mac and cheese.

Leftovers will make 2 or 3 more meals.  That never happened before!!
