For those of you who eat cottage cheese are you able to eat the regular kind or do you eat the Lactaid brand?  I was eating the Lactaid brand but I would like to eat the regular so I was just wondering.

I eat the regular kind, but I have no problem with milk producs. Try a little and see, you will know one way or the other.

I'm fine with regular, too...but I've not had any lactose intolerant issues!  I also buy small curd...just in case it decides to act like hamburger (texture hurts me!)
I'm becoming half the person I was...but I'm also becoming twice the woman!

I buy 1% cottage cheese that is small curd.  I was lactose intolerant prior and even more after but since I have been taking papaya enzyme I havent had issues with gas and side effects due to the intolerance.

The process that makes cheese of milk usually digests the lactose, so that cheese products are tolerable for folks that are lactose intolerant.  I am severely lactose intolerant and do fine with all cheese products, including cottage cheese, thus far.  I just eat the fat-free kind.

Didn't know there was a lactaid cottage cheese, theey don't sell it here where I live in California. I usually eat the fat free( Knudsen brand), I can't tell th difference between 1% 2% and the fat freee so I stick with the FF. I add SF canned pears for breakfast, Lost of protien.

Thank you all.  Even thought they taste mostly the same there is a slight difference to the Lactaid brand.  I will try the regular.
