Ironically the odds are that if more people were covered your insurance would be cheaper and your health care better.  A lot does depend on how long the insurance industry -- a great useless fat vampire squid sucking the life out of the economy by denying people care --gets to control everything buy buying off all the politicians.
Hey - don't be badmouthing squids

I don't disagree that what we have now needs fixed... but I strongly disagree on government-controlled healthcare as the solution.

I work for Corporate America and I know I’m lucky to have private insurance.

However, I  pay a $1000 deductible every year, I pay a $50 co pay for each visit, I’m limited to 12 mental health visits per year, prescriptions are a $50 co pay. . .no dental. . .no vision. . .

I’d also like to ask exactly WHY does it cost $2000 a day for a hospital bed??? Who is profiting?  I know physicians are great when you need them but do they really need to earn what they do?  I’d rather see the money go to the people *****ally take care of you. . .nurses, PA’s, Nurse Practitioners. . .Yep, medical equipment is expensive but after 100 colonoscopies. . .the equipment is paid for. . .why does the procedure cost so much?

So, why do you have such tolerance for the ridiculous rightwing viewpoint when you're having to live with the dreadful results of that flawed point of view daily??

Um, c'mon, you are always on me about how you love hearing viewpoints other than your own, and Paul's not stupid because he disagrees with you, yada, yada...

I'm just trying to understand WHY you are not as AnGRY as me with having to live with the decisions of imbeciles.   I resent it greatly the politicians (and their followers) that are out there spreading these lies to appease their lobbyist corporate health care and pharmaceutical giants that make money by DENYING people needed coverage.

I‘d rather debate the idea not the poster. . .If I’ve been on you about that it wasn’t intentional.

You have no idea how ANGRY I am. . .but I pick my battles and this particular one is not worth my angst.

Your passion is admirable. . .my passion is saved for the huge battle I’m already fighting. . .I’m tired and nothing I do matters. . .not whining but I won’t enter a battle I’m not prepared to win. . .

I’ll see your Johnny Depp and raise you a Nuno Bettencourt. . .

My 5 day hospital stay just a year and a half ago was $48,000.  SERIOUSLY!!! They sent me that bill and I laughed. Of course two of those days were ICU care, but $48,000? That would mean that a little over a half a year of my income should go to 5 days of medical care... are you ******g kidding me????

Even with insurance that was lowered down to $3,800.  If I didn't have insurance would they really have expected me to pay 48K?  Our health care system now is INSANE.

Again, no mention of reform over the past eight years.... none.  Now you have ELECTED officials following the mandate of those who elected them and you get a very vocal minority that are going to **** it up for us.... it just ****** me off.  They keep saying they want "their America" back.   The majority of us voted in the people who are there now because we wanted "Our" America back.  Power to the people, may our voices overthrow the corporate tyranny and their propaganda campaigns.

Notice, too, how a couple hundred thousand in the anti-war protest got like 1 minute coverage on the national news.  (I KnOW, I was THErE!).  And the dozen or so teabaggers get constant Faux news exposure!  Grrrrrrrrr!
