For those of us who don't dump.....anyone there??

Truthfully, I don't want to find out if I dum*****t.   I just avoid sugar wherever I can because sugar is a real trigger food for me.  I am just going to assume that I dump and proceed that way.

The only time I have made myself sick is when I have eaten too fast.   That is one of my major problems.

I too have stayed within the sugar range of 12 grams. I'm afraid to test the waters. However, I got that gassy stomach feeling the other night from peanut butter. So I'm guessing I have to watch my fat content as well. I'm ok with 10 grams but Skippy had 16 grams of fat and it bothered me!

Less than half of RNY patients DO dump. Did you choose the RNY with the expectation that dumping would keep you on the straight and narrow?

no..the rny was better choice for me  for my habits and lifestyle...BUT I  was expecting to be sick because thats what I usually hear about..not that Im complaining about not dumping!!! Doent sound too fun. Just curious if others are experiencing what I am

I have not dumped as yet I am 8 months out so who knows.  Some times I wish I would just to keep me accountable.  Debi

Yes..many people say it does! But I dont envy how it must make a person feel!

I am 6 months out and I don't dump either. My weight loss has stalled and I fear that I have stretched-out my pouch. I have fallen back into my old eating habits. I know that this was only a tool and that I need to get back in gear. I have proven to myself that the food is only part of the story. I lost 70 pounds before surgery and 80 since my March RNY. Not too bad, but I know I should be doing better. I am working-out three days a week for an hour. I love the change my body has made and I want more!!!
