I've had 3 c-sections and I'm wondering how the rny compares. Anyone know?

you don't say if you are having open or lap rny.  I have had 2 c-sections and I thought that they were alot worst than lap rny

I've had two sections and one Lap RNY...

oh and a LAP  GB removal....

RNY is much easier..,.,. pain wise.

Oh my, I had 2 open c-sections.  The recovery was definitely longer the the RNY

I was told that the recovery was about the same, but in my opinion it wasnt. I don't remember having sharp pains after my c-section or having a hard time getting comfortable at night. But...then again when you have a new baby, your focus is on the baby and not the pain/recovery.

um, I had one c-section, not sure I can say this, at least you dont have to take a baby home and raise it. . . . .  That is the only up thing I could come up with.  You will be able to get more rest too.  I suppose the RNY wins out over c-section.  If you tolerate pain meds well, you will have a party!

My c-section was definatly worse!  Just had my tubes tied last week and that was even worse.. i would take the pain from gastric bypass any day..

My C-section was much worse.  With a C-section, you have a big incision through the muscles, and with lap RNY, it's a couple of small ones.  That makes a big difference.  RNY was much easier.

hhmmm I can remember c section like it was yesterday and my incisions as mild. I can even remember my next door neighbor driving me somewhere and going over a bumpy road and I had to grab her by the arm and say to her Megan I just had c-section easy does it to which she said oh I'm sorry I forgot and when she had her children years later we shared that and she still said she was sorry but now she knows for sure! If you do what you are told to do its not bad at all.  Just follow the yellow brick road.
