Body smells

I need some advice.  I posted several weeks ago that my co-workers had complained to HR about my gas and belching.  Since that time, I've tried increaasing my fiber and watching what I eat.  I'm also using papaya enzyme to aid digestion.  The gas problem is getting better but not the belching.  They are still complaining and it's only going to get worse.  I'm trying but it's not enough for them.  I do leave the room when I feel one coming but you can't always catch it.

Has anyone had similar issues and what is out there to control your stomach?  Mine gets real rumbly and noxious.  What about Beano and other stuff like that?  Do they really work?

Thank you all...

I've seen people post here that they take probiotics supplements or Devrom to help with gas. You might also want to take more yogurt and reduce the amount of carbs you are ingesting. Carbs and excess fiber usually trigger extra gas.

Also you might try belching more discreetly like with your mouth mostly closed. I have this crazy technique of burping, that you would never know I just did it. I close my mouth almost completely and the only sound I make is a tiny shhhh sound, that you could never identify as a belch. Seriously.

On another note... your co-workers are not nice people. They should talk to you first before going to HR. What a bunch of inconsiderate people!

Probiotics.  Works wonders.  There is also something you can buy from a health food store and I'll be darned if I can think of the name of it.  It really does cover body odors.  It's something green.  I'll think of it and post it.

Then there is the matter of thinking about what you are eating that is causing all this gas.

You have to learn not to swallow air after any WLS type.  Even when you swallow your own spit form a suction in your mouth before swallowing to avoid excess air.  It's 2nd nature to me now, I don't even think about it.

Increased fiber will cause increased gas.

Beano is for lactose intolerance.  Is that your problem?  If so, no more dairy products.

Where exactly do you work in this magical kingdom where no one seems to burp or fart??

Talk to HR or get a lawyer.

I read your post last time.  I am so very sorry that you are experiencing the body issues.  I dont know what to say.  First you have a medical condition, and that is formost.  All kidding aside, this may be something that could become a very serious issue.  Understand that you have rights and may need a medical accomodation till your situation clears up.  It could be anything.  Keep working with your dr. and journal your food.  You may be able to track a trend or figure out what the offending food may be.  Be upfront with HR and give them a note from your Dr. stateing you have a medical condition.  Rude co-workers or not, you cannot realistically make it out of the room everytime you have to fart or burp.  In the meantime, purchase an air cleaner for your space, and put up some air freshners that spray every so often.  Most of all, dont take it personally, it could be the type of vitamins you are taking or you could have a virus.  Please do not give up, and dont let anyone bully you because you are doing your best to become healthy.  Best of luck and keep posting.

I strongly recommend the Devrom;  it is the only thing besides Beano which has helped me.  It removes the stink from the gas, although it doesn't remove the gas.  You can use Gas-X along with the Devrom, which should take care of the gas.  The Devrom is chewable (tastes vaguely banana-ish) and so is portable.

You might want to try eliminating sugar alcohols from your intake;  once I did that it really helped with the stinky emissions.

Good luck!
