Call Jenny McCarthy! Mercury and formaldehyde.... Oh My!!!!

(I got mercury in my fillings!)

Who is this PA? If some of the "early recipients of the vaccine have now developed neurological damage" he must have collected the data and reported it somewhere. Where?

Everyone has detectable quantities of natural formaldehyde in their circulation (about 2.5 ug per ml of blood). Formaldehyde is essential in human metabolism and is required for the synthesis of DNA and amino acids. A  vaccine has 0.1mg of formaldehyde in it, that's 10x less than what our own bodies produce.

And regarding Mercury, the FDA says: "
thimerosal has a long record of safe and effective use preventing bacterial and fungal contamination of vaccines (since the 1930's), with no ill effects established other than minor local reactions at the site of injection. As a vaccine preservative, thimerosal is used in concentrations of 0.003% to 0.01%."  ... And of course there is plenty of research disproving any correlation with autism, if that's your concern. (Eric Fombonne, MD, et all, Journal of Pediatrics, July 2006)

MSG? You're talking monosodium glutamate? A salt!

Squalene,  has been approved in health agencies in several European countries Since 1997 and is a natural organic compound  originally obtained from shark liver oil.

You know...   why bother! Don't get the flu shot! There will probably be a shortage anyway, so... the more for the rest of us.

The PA I know works in my state of Indiana and yes I'm sure he did collect data, I didn't ask because I trust his opinion. I'm not trying to tell you not to get it, I'm simply explaining why I will not be.

I work in healthcare, I understand. This is a completely new vaccine, not just slightly different from last years normal influenza vaccine. The testing I am talking about is the testing they do on any new vaccine or medication.  The trials to see how people react and the side effects. This vaccine has different components, which can cause different long term side effects that they can't possibly know about yet.

In which area of health care do you work? While I absolutely respect your opinion,I also have to say that this is the kind of attitude that caused  the powers that be to start REQUIRING the polio vaccine, chicken pox, DPT,MMR, and others before children start school.I also know about right to refuse, etc.
These once dread diseases have been obliterated in this country because vaccines have been made mandatory.
While I also know that each years strain of flu is different, why in the world wouldn't anyone want to use any means to avoid a serious, perhaps, fatal, illness?

I was a military corpsman for 4 years. I worked Mother-Baby and was specifically a NICU corpsman. I also worked in the OB-GYN clinic. I now work at the VA doing non-patient care while I finish my nursing degree.  I understand what you are saying about avoiding illness. My daughter is a former 32 weeker who was born right in the middle on RSV season. Her first year she received the Synagis vaccine, but by the time her 1st birthday came around she was considered to be too healthy for the shots, so we were on lock down mode. She did not go to stores, she went to church but was not allowed to go to the nursery. We had germ-x, Lysol, and Clorox wipes everywhere. She has had the regular flu vaccine, but if we have to go back into lock down mode to keep her safe this winter we will do it again. Her pediatrician also isn't recommending it due to lack of testing, and I totally trust her opinion.

Are you going to get a H1N1 shot when available?  Has anyone talked to their surgeons office about this?
I will be taking it,as well as  the shingles vaccine. I have already had the regular flu shot and the pneumonia vaccine. I am unsuppressed from taking Humira for RA and it is VERY hared for me to get well from simple infections like a sinus infection. I would rather take chances on the vaccine.

I completely got flamed for this a couple weeks ago, but, what the hell.  I don't believe in the flu shot.  I will not be a guinea pig for the new, untested "swine flu" shot either.  I got a lot of crap about being a healthcare worker and not wanting the shot, and let me tell you, people were excedingly nasty.  But, there is a reason that 60% of all healthcare workers and physicians, do not get the vaccine, and now we are being strongarmed into doing it.  Cause we know it's crap.  I get just as many flu pt.'s who have been vaccinated as those who haven't.  There are no numbers anywhere, except maybe some fake propaganda ones that actually show any difference in flu deaths or occurences since vaccines.  Never had the flu shot, never had the flu.  And for those of you who think I'm some kind of crazy minority, tell that to the few hundred people just in my facility protesting the forced vaccination.
