You are probably right about the issues, but really... looking at her past  post history and her blog to try to find fault exposes a deeper problem that YOU might have. It's easy to find fault in others, it's tougher to find fault in the mirror. Sometimes we enjoy finding fault in others because it helps us feel better about ourselves....Just saying... Think about it, did you really look into her post history and blog to "Help" her or expose her faults and difficulties... ?

And so, what does you finding fault in her finding fault say about YOU?

Just asking...

When I look at people's posting history, it's to find out more about them, not to try to "find fault."  What does it say about you that you jumped to that conclusion that she was looking to find fault?

Just asking...

Think about it.

I have not looked at ANYONE's profile, post history, or blog to find fault. I write articles in OH magazine, I post my workouts EVERYDAY on the Excercise & Fitness board here, and was basically appauled at people jumpin down this gals throat for a poor decision. I do not live to find fault in others, I live to help others and try to offer positive support. And what finding fault for someone "LOOKING" for fault simply says that I am calling it like I see it. Not interested in going back and forth, just wish people would be a little kinder and use some tact...

I don't know if you live for it or not but YOU were finding fault in HER, as I pointed out.  You don't see the irony in that?  LOL

Why couldn't she have been looking at her history, the same way most people do...to try to get a handle on who they're dealing with?  Instead, you accused her of looking at the history to try to find fault.  So, I'M calling it like I see it : you were making negative assumptions and finding fault in HER at the same time you were saying it's bad to find fault in people.

Maybe, just maybe, you should follow your own advice and be kinder and gentler and perhaps even stop making wild accusations.  You may have really hurt her by your accusation.

Think about it.

It would have been nice for you to man-up and just admit you were ironically wrong, especially since you write articles for OH magazine, etc. etc. etc.

Again, I am not too interested in going back and forth. I wish you luck in all your endeavors. Take care of yourself...That was kind of funny "Man-up" seeing as I am one of 2 guys who posted on this thread to stick up for someone who was getting read "The Riot Act". Take care...

I actually looked at her post history & blog to look for more info about her.  I didnt want to jump on the bandwagon with everyone else and jump on her without knowing her history.  Had she only had the few bites of cotton candy, I would be agreeing with you 100%.  She made a one time mistake, pick yourself up and move on.  But her history tells a deeper story.  She is making multiple bad choices.  I dont feel like I was hard on her or bashing her.  If she took it that way, I apologize.  I truly hope she has a successful weight loss journey.    Cindy

I hear ya... It's all good. I just think it's important for EVERYONE to realize that not everybody is as strong as others, and when they come here seeking "Support" and are looking for "Answers" the last thing any of us should do is judge her and personally attack her, which I am sure you were not trying to do. It's all good. Have an awesome day, and keep rockin it dude!

Dear Dan,

The words "Thank you" seem so insufficient to respond to your understanding response to all of the hostility I have faced this morning... but, still I say 'thank you'.

Since I feel so "beaten down" right now:
This will be my FINAL POST
on this obviously HEATED, HOT, HOT TOPIC...

Man, I am exhausted...
I bet I will never crave Cotton Candy AGAIN...
It is now tainted by the ugliness of some of the posters responses to my sincere Q about 'dumping on sugar'...

I hope no one (with a sensitive heart like mine) ever asks a Q of their safe, non-judgemental OH Club peers that they are not prepared to receive some very harsh answers...
I know that I should be strong and just take what you all doled out to me,
BUT
As you might guess, my  weight has shattered whatever little self-esteem I may have had at one time...
Well,
I have been stomped on enough for today...
I will see you all again when I feel revived...

REMEMBER:
WORDS HURT... they cause REAL damage...
So, please, think about your words (re-read what you write) before you press the send button...
Would you want to receive what you have written if you were on the other end???

May everyone *****ad this post be enlightened by this experience...
Whether this post made you think about:
sugar intake at 7 weeks post op/dumping on sugar/your personal journey with sugar/your struggles with self-control or moderation of sugar/or if you simply enjoyed witnessing the slaughter of a NEWBIE *****ally needs support right now while their brain is trying to catch up with their new body...

May you all have the happiest of holidays...
And by all means... avoid sugar like it is the PLAGUE!!!!

God Bless,
Lisa

AGAIN, this is my Final Post on the subject...Thanks!

  Take care,

Lisa,

It is obvious that people, including myself, think that the cotton candy was a poor decision. Just don't keep repeating the poor decisions and you will be fine. Don't avoid sugar like the plague because everyone here told you to, avoid it because you are stronger and better than that. Rock on and best of luck in YOUR journey....

Not RNY but let me just put in my two cents...

My philosophy when it comes to what I eat is that my tummy is so small that anything I put into it has to be nutritionally sound. With that said, I did have a bite of pumpin pie at Thanksgiving and I was more than satisfied - but that was after my turkey & green beans dinner.

If its a sweet fix you need then make a protein shake, that's what I do. I make a vanilla latte shake several mornings a week and that really fills that craving.

You need to stay honest with yourself and if you don't want anyone else reading your blogs then put your settings on private but do continue express yourself. The other folks here are only posting honest, concerned comments. We all want our fellow OHers to succeed!!!

Good luck and take care,
