You are a noob, you are looking to live to eat. With time you will eat to live.
These are not good for weight loss...so I'm told. But my question is how are they harmful when they are sugar free and or calorie free? Help! I love Sprite Zero! (Which by the way is also caffeine free!)

BTW, if you really miss the taste of Sprite Zero, you might be able to drink it flat. Just pour some in a glass and let it sit long enough for the carbonation to go flat. I've had a little Fresca that way and discovered that soda without the bubbles isn't nearly as good. But that's the only way that I would try even soda that is sugar-free and caffeine-free.
I drink it now and have no issues but my surgan never said anything either way. Sometimes I do let it go flat because its easier on my pouch and doesn't upset it. That's the only thing that I've seen. It does upset my pouch at times. We all learn different ways

If I don't ever loose anymore that's ok. I'm happy where I am at, weight and in life
Actually, my NUT told me that diet sodas ARE bad for you. According to her, they "trick" your body and cause you to gain anyway (or at least not lose as quickly). That was part of the reason she gave me for why my low-carb diet didn't take off a lot of weight.
I also found this info on the net when I checked:
"Research exploring whether its effects on kidneys makes diet soda bad for you was presented at the American Society of Nephrology's annual Renal Week conference. Researchers collected data from 730 diabetic women participating in a kidney study that was part of the larger Nurses' Health Study. The women had supplied data at three points over the course of six years on how often they consumed sugar-sweetened beverages or artificially sweetened sodas—less than once a month, one to four times per month, two to six times per week, one to two per day, or more than two per day. The researchers then collected data on blood tests that had been performed 11 years apart to look for certain elements that signal healthy kidney functioning. After adjustments for age, diet, and lifestyle factors like smoking, the data revealed that women who drank more than two diet sodas per day had a twofold increase in risk for kidney function decline." http://www.rodale.com/diet-soda-bad-you
Hope this helps.
