Hiya,
one of my best friends says she is 5' she is probably 4'11" she weighs about 133. She is looking good. She has pretty wide shoulders and a wide frame. Her sister is about 5'2" and weighs about 145. She looks pretty great. I have small bones, I am just fat all over lol. When I was 23 I weighed 112. and I am 5'5" I don't want to be that thin again though at all. Everyone is different and what looks great on one doesn't on another. The girl next door to me is only 10 pounds heavier than me, but looks 30 pounds heavier. I have a lot more muscle though from riding horses all the time.

Height 5'6"  HW 263 SW 239 LW 142 From size 20/22 to size 5/6

At 4 years out I crept back up to 180 now working my way back down. CW 173 size 10

I'm 5'1" (almost) with a petite bone structure.  My bariatric surgeon says 110.  However, at 125, with a tummy tuck and breast reduction and lift, I am already a 2 Petite.  No freaking way would I do 110.

100 pounds is ridiculous.  I would guess about 135 with your height and bone structure.

I am 5'2" and before I gained all this wt. my usual wt. was 135 and I was fat. That was a size 13/14. For me to be small I would have to be around 100 lbs. I am constantly amayzed when I see some of the before and after pics and their wt. after is 170-200 and they look thin! I am now about 205 and just got down to a size 20. Height definatly has it's advantages!

I'm 5' 7" and am shooting for 160. It's an aggressive number because I am what one call big or thick boned.

I was 5'1" the day of surgery, and I "shot" back up to 5'2" when I lost the weight.  My abdominal weight pulled my spine down, and made me shorter.  I tell you that to let you know that your insurance-perfect weight might vary after your height readjusts itself.  In addition to that, it has been said that those of us who have carried extra weight for many years have heavier bones, therfore, 100# on a teenage girl and 100# WLS female patient can look vastly different.  My smallest post-op weight was 138#, bones were sticking out everywhere and I wasn't happy with it.  My most comfortable weight had me sitting at 143# and I need to lose about 8# to get back there.  I am still large-breasted and have excess skin on my abdomen, but I am so much happier and healthier right now.  I gauge my "healthy and happy" based on my bloodwork and my annual positive visit to the doctor.

It's amazing that even though you can be the same height and weight as some one else, your sizes can be vastly different.

I am 5'2", closer to 5"1.5", and at 155 I am a very comfortable misses size 8 and juniors size 9/10.  I have seen someone else here at my same height and weight in a juniour size 13, and then there is the previous poster who weighed less, but was still in a misses size 14.

Even in high school, I was always heavier then others, I had alot of muscles.  In 9th grade I got down to 129 and at that time was in a 9/10.  Granted size have changed since then as well.  I am shooting for 145 which is still considered overweight for my height, my dream weight being 135 is just barely normal.   That should leave me at a solid size 6 which to me is pretty small.  It also might be unrealistic as it's only 6 lbs higher than my lowest ever and due to having a baby, my age, extra skin, etc. it just may not be doable.

My rambling point is, you will never really know until you get there.  Set a high goal to begin with and then adjust it down when you get close.  My theory is to go by size, and at your height a size 2, 4, or even a 6 is probably perfect.  But you will never know what weight that will equal on you because of the density and structure of your bones.

Everybody carries their weight differently.  You can't just go by the scale.  I'm 5' 2" and weigh between 147-150.  I buy size 7 jeans, size 8 in dress slacks and wear medium tops.

I am 5' and do not have a petite frame.  My orginal goal was 110 pds but once I got to 120 pds I looked great so I changed my goal to 120 pds.  I dropped down to 115 pds and started to look grossly thin.  I would set your weight at about 120 pds and then once you get there decide what you think.  Or if you get to 125 pds and that is where you like yourself adjust your goal.  Your goal is not set in stone.  Everyone is different in how they like to look...use your own judgement.

Good luck.

I am 5'1 and would say i have a medium frame.  I was told by my primary doctor not to rely on BMI weight when selecting a goal.  He recommended 148 lbs as a realistic goal (coming from a high weight of 289 lbs.)  I have TODAY reached this goal of 148.  However, I am not stopping at this goal.  I believe 132 would be a better goal for me meaning that I have 16 more lbs to go to that goal.  I will reassess things as I go along but no sense in stopping now.  You will know what weight you are comfortable with as you get there so don't relay just on a number.  Good luck.  Continued success to you.

I'm 5' even, and my goal was 125.  I picked a weight that I had achieved before, and knew looked fine on my frame.  [I always thought I had a 'large' frame; but now realize I really didn't--I was just in denial, lol!  It's more like a medium built one.]

Right now I bounce between 107-109...and I can tell you, 100 lbs would be WAY too skinny for me, personally, at 35 years old.

I'd shoot for 125, maybe 115 to allow for a small bounce back; but decide where you, and your body, are 'happiest' when you get there.

Good luck with your journey!!
