How much do you spend on protein powder and drinks per month?
I am 18 months out and spend a small fortune on my protein drinks every month. I drink 2-3 cups of No Sugar Added Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Protein Powder (1 1/2 scoops) a day. Throughout the month, I go through about 7- 8 pounds of protein powder and 4 -5 canisters of swiss miss hot chocolate. Last week I bought 10 pounds of GNC 100% Whey Protein = ProPerformance, Chocolate - it was buy 1 get 1 = 50% off, so I bought 2 -5 lb canisters. It cost about $65. This was a great deal but alot of money. Then the hot chocolate can cost another $25 a month. So, altogher it is costing me about $90 a month for these protein drinks. Am I crazy to be doing this?

Let's see...I get two cans of BSN Lean Dessert Protein a month - they are 1.39 lbs a piece and I get them on http://www.cheapvitamins.com for $14.49 each plus $5.99 shipping, so I spend just under $35 a month.
All of their flavors are awesome - well, wait. I think the only one I didn't care for was the Chocolate Pudding. Everything else, though - fabulous! My favorite way to drink it is 1/2 scoop of the Whipped Vanilla, 1/2 scoop of the Banana Nut Bread with Light Silk Vanilla soy milk or Silk's vanilla almond milk.

I have one protein shake in the morning, not so much for the protein but because I don't like to eat in the morning. I get enough protein from food but still do the shake in the morning.
I spend less than $40 per month. Lets say I get the EAS shakes at Walmart. They are about 5 bucks for a 4 pack. 30 shakes per month, is about 8 packs at 5 bucks a pop.

Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?
