You are in my thoughts & prayers! Breathe. Relax. It will be o****pt myself really busy. I had a ton of stuff to do. I ended up going to bed at 10:30 or 11 and slept through the night. I knew that I was making a good decision and I ended up being at peace with it. I hope that you have a smooth recovery! Good Luck tomorrow.
lol--by the time I spent the entire evening with the Mag Citrate Quickstep, I didn't have a lot of free time!
I spent a couple of hours on the Before & After pages of this site; very inspirational.
Hang in there, Kid--by this time tomorrow it'll be all over and you'll be on the Loser's Bench!!
Now, we definitely want to hear about all your Wow's as they occur--the one about losing one's jeans as you walk across a parking lot is very common! Also, just imagine how Cool it's going to be to get to go shopping in the thrift stores for all the great new clothes you're going to need!!
This site also has a Black American Forum that you might like to check into--a lot of very encouraging folks there.
You've chosen a path to good health!
Good luck!

I was too excited the night before my surgery to sleep a wink. I had already determined that having WLS was the way to a healthier me and had accepted it without reservation. I was up and down all night long just wishing morning would come so I could be on the way to the hospital to finally have it done, knowing that once I got there I'd be able to sleep afterwards. LOL!!
I finally gave up trying to sleep around 4am and went ahead and got up and took my shower, washed my hair and finished packing my overnight bag and then just came on OH to look at the before and after pics and told myself "that's going to be me next year". It was just a strange sense of calm that I felt knowing that I was finally doing something positive for my health. . . but excitement to get it done and over with all at the same time.

Just breath and relax, it will all be over before you know it an it won't be near as bad as you think it will be. If you can't sleep don't worry you will get plenty of sleep tommorow. Good luck and I am only 2wks out and I feel your pain. You are making the right decision for a healthier you. I will be thinking of you tommorow!!

Good luck tomorrow.
I cried. No-I bawled-before surgery. I was good up until I got in the pre-op room to put my gown on. My poor husband didn't know what to do with me-but he did great and just hugged me. Then my surgeon came in and he was great. Talked to me about what to expect (again) and what his plans were regarding my gall bladder. He basically answered my questions without me actually asking. After that, I was better.
The last thing I did think of while lying on the table just before the good drugs kicked in (and this is so odd) was that in a few seconds I can't change my mind. Don't ask me why I thought that. That's also the last thing I remember before taking my wonderful nap.
It will all be good. Do stuff to keep you mind off it for now. I went swimming and hung out with family the night before.
