I just returned from a trip via the airlines and pre op it was always a fear will I fit??? Now after surgery I think I was more excited to see if I fit than the trip itself. Well, no more seat belt extender and I sat comfortably, Yay!!! So this is what it's like to live???

It is funny how those little things in life we rejoice in.  I can't tell you how much I used to stress when I traveled and would even pay for an extra seat when I could afford it.  No more!!!!  I sit comfortably in the seat and no use of a seat belt extender.

I travel a lot for work - sometimes even as far as China.  This was one of the main reasons I chose to have wls.  It was so tired of being uncomfortable and there was the ever present fear that I may be forced off the plane (that actually happened to a friend of mine who has also had gny surgery).  I  haven't had to travel since the surgery but I have already lost ~ 40 lbs and I think it will make a big difference in my comfort level.

I just have to say one of my best days post surgery is when I flew to FL and could use my own tray!!! Yes that's right years ago before my WLS I had to use my husbands tray because mine couldn't go down all the way it hit my stomach-how embarrassing-NOT ANYMORE!!!
