Question about blocking
Yeah - her....and DocHollywood also came in with turbo blasters then got pissed off when it was suggested she be open to listening rather than dismissing other points of view.

You might be Lith. She's posted a couple of times recently, one time about how when she first came on OH she asked a simple question and got "unfairly" flamed but a ton of people. ( I remember that thread, and believe me, she wasn't flamed unfairly. You might remember it too - it was the "WHY TRY IT" or something like that thread about people eating stuff they "shouldn't" be).
Anywho, she was a lot more mellow the last couple of times she posted.

I remember the "why try it" thread..... I think I was the "first responder" and all hell broke loose... She felt that I was being condescending and mean because I tried to let her know that it was different after surgery, there was a lot a person can't truly "get" until after surgery, and she flipped out on me. (I WAS being nice, I promise).... eventually someone else came on and enlightened me/us that it was an OA thing... or something.... didn't make sense to me, but that's okay.... since I've been haunting OH for the six weeks or so of my recuperation from major surgery and haven't seen her, she probably does have me blocked. I'm crying buckets because of that I'm sure.

And I've never had any direct interaction with her. Apparently what I've said to you in this thread just pissed her off.
I guess I'll start crying my buckets right now too.....
Actually, I'm kind of excited though - I've never been blocked before! Now I feel like a true vet of the OH Community - LOL!

sometimes I've lost my temper and blocked someone but then I've gone back and unblocked.
the way I see it, blocking someone doesn't have to be a way of insulting someone (although they may take it that way) it can just be a way of saying you need a little time without them in your universe for whatever reason.
I think people who are constantly blocking may easily be missing something. their loss.

I have four people blocked, two on permanent because they didn't add anything to this forum at all, and seemed to be very negativve, and didn't have weight loss surgery, so I just knew that my universe was better without them. Two others who were rude on th RNY forum just before I went in for my recent surgery, and I know I'm emotionally fragile while recuperating from surgery, so I put them on block too.... I'll unblock those two sometime soon, but the other two.... they do not exist to me. If I unblock someone and immediately think they need re-blocking, they stay there permanent.
