1 yr Postop from Sleeve...with pics
Today has been one year since I had VSG. I have lost 135 lbs so far. I started at 354 lbs, wearing a size 32 jean. Today I weigh 219 lbs and wear a size 16 jean.
I have lost 19" off my waist so far, and 20" off my hips.
My BMI was 58.9..today it is 36.4.
What a year!!

I'm NOT done yet! That's the only frustrating part of this journey, is seeing those make goal in 6 mths or so, when I'm at one year postop and not at goal yet. BUT...I feel so much better already, am off all medications..and would definitely do it all over again!

Awesome Dawnie! You are really doing great! Comparing yourself is a mistake but unfortunately some of us do it. I only lost my first six months and just kinda slowed and stopped. Yeah, I think I could have cut calories and exercised more but I didn't so, here I am. I did lose 110 pounds and I was called a light weight at 288...lol.
I think my weight loss surgeon was the only person on earth that called me light anything!! You are doing a wonderful job! You look terrific and I know you feel great! No meds? Woohoo!! Way to go for you!! Connie

THanks ladies! I will keep on going..as I'm still losing..so I'm continuing to try and do things right so i can get to my goal.
It is very hard to not compare ourselves (at least for me anyhow). But..I started out at 354...considerably higher weight than most, so I knew I wouldn't make goal in one year. I am very happy w/how far I've come so far though, and look forward to continuing to watch the scales go down.
