Hi, Lucia,
How wonderful that you have decided to take control of your life and your health Now, while your young.
Before you submit to surgery, please, please, please, make an appointment with a fine surgeon, Ameet Patel.  He is wonderful.
Good luck

I just had a look and he doesnt practice at the hospital im under, because the government is paying for my surgery i dont think i get to pick and choose my surgeon, I will have to look into that too. I was just looking at my paperwork and my consultant surgeon is Dr K R Mannur.

Thanks for sharing your videos Lucia... what an awesome idea ... I enjoyed watching them and following our journey so far ... I hope you get a scheduled date soon ... WLS is the best decision I ever made for myself and it gave me the jumpstart to go back to pretty close the weight I had 25 years ago.  All in all I spent the first 25 years of my life being skinny, 10 years being overweight, 5 years being obese and 10 years being morbidly obese ... so all in all I spent as many years skinny as well as fat ... today I weigh 120 pounds dripping wet ..that is 22 pounds more than I weighed when I came to America and have been maintaining my weight loss with no regain over my maintenance goal weight as a matter of fact I am a good 7 pounds below maintenance today .. and I have energy and mobility and health which is what I asked for.  No more diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, GERD or sleep apnea and a host of other medical issues .. it is well worth it...

I am sooooooooooo happy for you and your decision... whatever surgery you have I wish you nothing but the best.  I will certainly keep an eye out for your updates.  YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Heya Hun,
Its so nice to see you and Blue here lol.
My mind is in such a muddle at the moment.... I need to look into so much before the surgery.
This is the first wls forum that I came to and im overwhelmed with the amount of people and opinions and I just have so much to think about.
Hope your well hun,

Hi Lucia. The DS is much more appropriate for someone of your size. Your surgeon must not do the DS. no DS surgeon would ever claim a RNY is best for someone 500+. I would smack your surgeon upside the head if I could.
