Thank you all so much. I really needed some kind words and to vent my frustration. This journey is NOT easy. I searched for months for a protein bar I liked, was a reasonable price and was "good" for me. I was so let down that my one treat I really enjoyed was now considered another "enemy" food. I was MAD.
I needed all of your support and you gave me exactly what I needed. Fuel to continue on this journey. Thank you so much for your support!

I'm SO going to get flamed for this... and, frankly, I don't give a damn!
I ate four of those bite-sized Reese's cups at work yesterday! So what? I made wise choices for the rest of my meals, I still lost 1.5 lbs this week, I'm at normal BMI, and have only 15 lbs more to go to my personal goal. My doctors are fine if I stop where I'm at actually. At this point, post-surgery, I know what I can and can't get away with... I've found my groove and it sounds like you have, too. Let 'em flame you, sweetheart! As long as you're still successfully losing the weight and not eating anything that will trigger binging... as long as you are in tune with your body and your journey continues to be successful... no worries! Phhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht!!!

Hey, more power to you. I think those bars are gross :-p. Puh-leaze. If you enjoy it, then ENJOY IT. If you were on here crying about not losing weight and this was about a Snickers bar, then someone might rightfully point out to you that you're consuming some empty calories.
If the time comes that you need to change something to keep your weight where you want it, this is something you can revisit.
How far out were these folks doing the yapping?

Good protein level, gives the sweet cravings a fix, NOT a constant snacking item(which is where I go wrong!): sounds good to me.
The only problem I have with protein bars are the ones that have less protein than a candy bar (2-3 grams!) and still try to pass themselves off as a "healthy choice" for food.

The only person you have to be accountable to is yourself. We are all human, we all make mistakes and we all make the best choices we can. No one should have to defend their choices. I personally wish some of the people around here would get off their high horses. But, that's what the block button is for. :) Take care of you and try not to worry about what other people think you should or should not be doing. It's your body, your life. All the best to you and everyone who has ever felt attacked or flamed around here. :)
OMG! You mean you aren't perfect? What the hell!
We signed up for WLS here, not for deprivation or a parallel universe where only nutritious foods exist. You look like a phenomenal success to me, and if those Zone Perfect bars are getting you where you need to go, then WORK IT!
I prefer Pure Protein bars myself, but also have a fridge stocked with WW and Skinny Cow ice cream treats. Shame on me.
