They have the individual packets of almond butter in Logan? If so, where are they? I shop at the Clinton Walmart and haven't seen them but I can go looking at other locations. Thanks!

I just got a box of 24 (0.6 oz) packets of Barney Almond Butter. 90 cal 1.5 gm sugar, 3 gm protein.
I bought them for my son who eats gluten & soy free and I thought I might try some.

I think they were about $10.  Amazon.com.

I tried 4 (so far) small meals today and have got along fine.  I will have a protein smoothie before I go to bed.

Penny, I really hope you figure it out.

I was tanking multiple times a few weeks ago. My diet since then has been incredibly boring .... Fage Yoghurt and berries or a minute muffin with berries and yoghurt cheese, and 100-calorie snack bars.

As long as I'm having a snack bar at least once every two hours or having a small meal, I'm fine. But these attacks really REALLY knock me back.

Totally wipes me out.

I tried more freq, smaller meals today.  I will just have to adjust my eating schedule.  I will get this under control - just SUCKS- that's all !!

Being a dumper and having RH both.  I'm detoxed from refined carbs anyway and I don't crave them, but this just enforces that I need to be really diligent.

I bought a couple bags of Baby Bel cheese (I like it better than Mozerella sticks).  I have indiv packets of almond butter I will keep in my purse and some raisins.

DH bought me some Clif bars, but I agree with Susan that they have too much sugar and I'm not going to use them.

Thanks for your help - all of you.

Right now I'm trying not to gain, but when I cut back on what I eat, the RH kicks in. It's a catch 22

I've heard it suggested to keep a food log and blood sugar log

record fasting AM blood sugar
Record breakfast including the basic stats.... sugar, carbs, protein, fat
Record your blood an hour afterwards.

And continue through the day, keeping track of what you are eating and what it is doing to your blood sugar.

The biggest and most important tool in fighting RH is information. Learn what makes YOU react, and then that is what you avoid.

I've found that for me, glycemic LOAD is more important than the index.  I found a good book that contains some recipes and lists of things that are safe to eat.  It is basically becoming my bible of eating.

Try the PURE PROTEIN bars.  THey are low sugar and mega protein.  THey have them at Walmart. My fav is the chocolate peanutbutter one .

I eat a lot of hard boiled eggs, string cheese, nuts.  Fortunately, my cholesterol is fine.  My endocrinologist strongly suspects I have nesidioblastosis - non-cancerous insulin-secreting tumors of the pancreas.  I don't know if there's anything they can do, but I would greatly love to be able to have a little bread or crackers every now and then.  I just can't eat anything like that unless I take a couple of acarbose pills.  Then I get enough gas to rocket me to the moon.  It's just not worth it!  I just want to be a little more normal if at all possible (well, digestively , anyway!).
