Dear Molly: I just want to give you a big hug!! You are beautiful! and wonderful! I so needed to see (something visual as I am a visual type of person) and know that weight can come off and you can be looking both wonderful and healthy!  You do!!
Success to you! You are doing so well..  I weighed 450# at my highest recorded weight and I kow weigh in at 240#+/- a couple of pounds.  I feel some frustration at being stuck here but at the same time with a post like yours to boost me up, I feel thankful and lucky and healthy all bundled into one!! Yes>> I would love to also get below 200#.  I have alot of excess skin - You don't look as though you suffer with that so you may be a lucky one (I hope so) My belly area is my problem area for me but I think even though I've lost 200# I still feel self conscious over my body and probably always will!!
You go girl!! You look great and your attitude is awesome! Please send me some!!! THanks for your post and pictures!! Keep up the great work!! Mary

Thanks Mary!!!  Congrats to you too!!  Are you kidding me on the excess skin?  I have plenty of it but it is in my lower body mostly and wing arms for sure.  I just girdle up and cover up very well.  Notice the long sleeve sweater.  I will take the excess skin any day for better health.  I love my skin.  I may have some removed but can't worry about that until I get well under 300 and see if I can get insurance to cover. Positive thinking is a precious attitude that takes time and effort to cultivate.  If you can embrace being positive it will give you a whole new perspective on everything in life.  My 3 P's are Perseverance, Patience and Positive!  I must say I don't know what I would do without them. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

Hi Molly! Yes, My 'Real" name is Mary but if you read about the real Molly Pitcher during the revolutionary war then you will know why I chose this name.  Her real name is almost exactly as mine is! Just a coincidence but part of the reason I chose it.  However, I DO love the name Molly and would have had my doggie named that but my cousin also has her pooch named Molly and only 1 to a family, so I named mine Maggie May after Rod Stewart's song! Thanks for asking.

One more thing.  I do think the excess skin issue was one of the factors that scare me as I neared the 200's last time but I am so over that nowadays.  I am ready for all the changes this time around.

I hope I can be that brave!! My own doctor told me to lose another 40# and then he'd consider a referral so I'm working at it slow......ly and maybe I will get up enough courage to have it all taken off..  can't imagine my life without my extra stomach/skin - it's like a whole other person to me!!
On a side note speaking of skin.. my friend has a small dog. He does not seem to jump up on her lap like he does mine.  She remarked one day (alittle on the hurt side, I think) that Duffy (her dog) seemed to love his aunt more.  Well.. I felt bad because he does seem to love to come up and cuddle with me but I make alot of him, too.
Anyway.. I posed it to her this way.. if you were Duffy which would you rather jump up on
a)  plywood, or b) a huge wonderful heated waterbed?(me of course)!  Anyway, I think I made her feel alot better!! (I hope)
So... I'll be working towards the plywood section, honey!!! ha ha Have a great day, too & thanks for posting~ You make a difference to many Mary

You are a winner because of your attitude.
Also as a former SSMO I am very satisfied where this journey took me. My BMI did end up at normal 23.5 for a short short time, post plastics and no exercise for 9 months I felt and looked like hell. I am back to ranging between 28.5-31 BMI and feel the healthiest I have ever been. I teach water aerobics for 2 hours 5 days a week and I am very muscular now.

You attitude is what makes you a winner. I would be proud to call you friend as you are an inspiration to the spirit of wls- to transform yourself into someone healthier!!
Gratitude is my attitude
