Here to re-motivate myself...
The ones in the store are chalky and mix with milk a lot, which I can not drink. I work for a weight loss center that has ready good ones, and you can buy similar ones online at www.diethighpretein.com they have 60-70 calorie cold or hot protein drinks. The berry flavors are good, and have 10-15 grams of protein, the bars are also good, and the meal replacement shakes are a complete meal, If you need someone to guide you thru some relearning of the correct process for long term weight loss, my company is all over the country and have helped a lot of post op clients like me get the rest of the journey done, I needed guidance getting all the way to my goal and staying there, as there are not many places to go for help after the dr releases you. Good luck..eat when you are hungry, listen to your body..
I am there with you. I am up about 15 lbs over my goal and my lowest after surgery. I don't have a pregnancy for my cause, just getting lazy about following the rules. I have also noticed that I am having reactive hypoglycemia lately.
I need to get back on track with my eating and starting back with exercise. Maybe we can all remotive each other.
Happy 4th of July.

I think I am having reactive hypoglycemia also. I can eat and then start to feel so weird, I feel like I am going to faint, my heart is pounding and my sugar drops to like 45.
I am also 5 years post op from RNY.
I really need to get back on track, I have regained 10 pounds and would love to get it off.
I feel like I get plenty of exercise, I am contantly cleaning, taking care of kids, ages 4, 5, 11, and 16. I have a busy life. Maybe it isn't the right kind of exercise that I need.
Thanks for the support, there are many of us that still need it but we don't ask for the help.

I am not glad that you have this problem, but I am glad that I am not crazy.
I started a low carb/high protein plan this week -- basically staying under 30 carbs a day. I have lost 3 lbs, but, more importantly, I have not had a hypoglycemic attack since then. I have also noticed that my cravings have decreased.
You probably get more exercise than I do. I have two children -- 20 & 11, but I am not usually running around after them much. I have an office job and have not exercised regularly in over a year. I need to start back exercising. I used to be fairly regular about it, but work had gotten so busy that I just didn't go work out. Now, it is just a matter of making myself actually "do it."
This is great that we can get together, even if it is in a cyber-way, to discuss our common issues. I don't know very many people who have had WLS, so it is hard for them to understand.
Take care,
Alicia

It is a terrible feeling once it starts, but it passes soon. It has been 5 yrs. since my surgery, I had RNY. I still want to lose 10-15 pounds, and just can't seem to find the motivation.
We have adopted 4 children lately, but I have had them for 4 yrs. already and you would think that I would not have a weight issue at all.
Keep in touch, wish you the best.
