I'm in the same boat.  I live in a small Southern town and every one knows me from 208 lbs. ago.  So, in my case, the stigma still lives!

Yes that "stigma" gets us every time huh???? What's up wiff that???? You know when I was large, I was a member of a "Big Beautiful Women" group in Atlanta and ran into many men who LOVED the curvey, volumptious woman.  I always asked them what it was they loved so much about them?  Their answer was that a woman who has been large, has more compassion for others because of what she has had to endure throughout life.  Well, here I am almost 200 lbs thinner, have a better look and body (although somewhat needs ironing, hahaha), but I still have the heart of the Big Beautiful Woman.  It's true .... we have had to endure alot in life, both physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. 

I am married and have the same issue. My husb is not obese but just likes to watch movies, play computer games, and read. Not very active. i have since started struggle with weight regain. The nasty bounce. I want to get out and do active things with real people, and he just wants to sit in a dark room and face the screen. Not so much as conversation. I have become so frustrated, i have considered divorce on numerous occasions. Once I gave up, the weight started to creep back on. Using food as comfort again. And there is no WLS support group in my area that works with my lousy schedule at work. Fighting suicidal depression again that i havent had for 4yrs.

You can be alone with a man, so dont look to someone else to enjoy life with. Enojoy life, and the partner to share it with will come.
