sharing pics..15 mths postop from sleeve

Hi everyone! I shared these pics on the VSG forum today..and on my facebook (dawn vsg)..but thought I'd share them here for those who are new to the site and haven't figured out how to find the various surgery forums.

I went out and bought some new clothes for the upcoming Michigan Meet-n-Greet on August 13th..private message me for more info!!  We're having it in Wyoming Michigan (near Grand Rapids).

I thought I'd share my before..and now pics with you..to help inspire any of you still thinking about surgery.  I had the sleeve on April 16, 2010.  Best decision I ever made.  So very happy!

I am off my medication for type 2 diabetes, off my high blood pressure med's..and no longer have sleep apnea.  All of those reasons are why I researched WLS to begin with.

I am 40 yrs old, and I feel like my life has changed in so many ways. I had weighed 354 lbs for so long, I forgot how it feels to feel 'normal'..and not feel like I'm being stared at or talked about because of my weight. I don't worry about fitting into seats in restaurants or theatres anymore.  I can walk the whole grocery store..without a cart..and not have my back killing me.  I no longer think about what my next meal may be.  I can stand and do my dishes ALL without having to sit in the middle of doing them because my back hurt so bad. I can wrap a towel around me.  I can hug my husband and actually put my body right up against his..not be held back by my stomach.  Sex...hmm..so much better (we'll leave it at that!).  Most importantly..I'm happy..my self-esteem has returned..and my kids are proud I'm their mom..and I can do so much more with them.

My before is me at 354 lbs, size 32 jean and 4 X shirt..
Me today 210 lbs...size 16 jean and XL shirt...I am 5 ft 5 inches.

I love my sleeve!!

Thanks you, it is close.  I am on day 3 of my 2 week preop liquid diet and I feel like I am gonna starve...lol

My gosh! You look a good 15 years younger since your weight loss. Congratulations on your overall success.
