3 weeks pot-op and I'm still in "fat girl mode"... I want to eat even though I'm not feeling hungry!!! How do I keep from losing my mind?? It's been a rough 3 weeks! I'm excited about the 30+ lbs I've lost already but this "head hunger" is going to be the death of me!!!! UGHHHHH!!!

Just drink water when you feel hungry...first time for me was so long ago I can't remember what I did! Lol, keep it up

I agree. Drink water and find something to do that will take your mind off your head hunger. And if you cant stand it...eat a sugar-free popsicle.

Are you on a PPI? If you had bypass, DS or VSG, you may be experiencing stomach grumbling that feels like hunger but is caused by excess acid. That was a big issue for me early out and then later on when I tried to get off my PPI a few times.

(Though I was able to eventually get off it.)

Head hunger is miserable. I would cook entire meals in my head and watch food network nonstop. Then when I could eat i'd get sick if I ate more than two bites. It turned me off food. Now I do still occasionally get head hunger but when I do I sit down with a plate of what I thought I wanted and end up picking at it. Barely eating anything. I love that I can do that now. I'm no longer a member of the clean my plate club. I get full on such a small amount now.

You need to enter your surgery type so it shows up under your avatar. Not so much right now, but the farther oout you get, the better we'll be able to answer your questions if we know that info.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I'm still new a little new to this site and trying to figure out how to update what surgery I had on my profile. I had bypass.
