The above link is to a very interesting article.  My heart goes out to the teacher.  It is deplorable how this news reporter behaved in regards to getting this story and so called "outing" the teacher's past.

However, I must be honest, I would not be pleased if I found out my child's preschool teacher starred in porn roles in his or her past.  I can't articulate exactly why that fact would bother me, as I don't find *****graphy particularly offensive in general. I just know that I would be a little disturbed if I found out that my kid's teacher starred in porn films.  Especially if these films were easily retrievable off of the Internet and were released as recently as last year.

As a parent with a child in school, I can't say what I would do if I found out my child's teacher starred in porn roles in the past, before becoming an educator.  I might consider removing my child from that teacher's class.  Maybe, I wouldn't do anything.  I am not sure.  That is a tough question.  Especially when you feel the teacher is a good educator and great with your child.   But I definitely would not go on a crusade trying to ruin the teacher's career.

Either way, this is a horrible situation for the teacher, the parents, and most importantly his students who love him and have grown attached to him.

So, what would you do if you found out your child's teacher starred in *****graphic films, in their past, and before becoming an educator?

Nah, it wouldn't bother me. Quite frankly, when I was in college (not long ago since I'm still in my 20s), I noticed VERY often that the ****tiest girls at the frat parties all seemed to be Elementary Ed majors...

lmao!!!!   Education majors DO know how to party!!!! I agree. Good times. :)  Also weird fact, I sat at a table of electrical engineers when my husband was inducted and they all married teachers. Very strange. I guess the more liberal is more drawn to the factual. ??

I was more concerned with what they were being taught and the bullying and peer pressure they were experiencing.  Personally, by the time my last 2 got to high school (actually middle school for the youngest) I had them out of school and I home schooled my youngest.  She just got her GED and starts community college in January.  Public school at this point, especially where I live, is not very good.

I'm with you on this one! Bullying in schools is out of control, and has been for a long time. Time to do something about THAT instead of worring about someone's previous "profession"!

Well, unless he was shooting the gay porn in my kid's classroom, I really don't see what business it would be of mine!

I have no idea what my son's teachers did in their former lives or what they do in their personal time now and why would I? They are paid to teach my son - that's it!

I honestly wouldn't care, unless those porn films involved children---and if they did, I'm assuming it would still not be an issue since the teacher would be going to jail...

I wonder how much of the uproar is because it was porn and how much is because it was gay porn.

I would not care.  He's not showing his films in social studies class, right?  Or in health class?  Not discussing the pros and cons of the sex film industry with the kids?  Encouraging his students to look into that line of work for career day?

How would it have anything at all to do with his teaching ability?

And seriously, don't you think most teachers do have private lives as well?  They might not all make porn, but they have relationships, outside of marriage, sometimes gay relationships, sometimes they are into kinky sex, etc.  As long as they are doing those things in school or talking about their sex lives with students, why would it matter?
