What were some of your WOW moments for 2011?
As we say good-bye to 2011 it's a good time to look back for reflection. For those of us that have lived most of our lives fat, ridiculed and made to feel bad about ourselves, (maybe even faced death) we need to celebrate every WOW moment we can.
What were some of your WOW moments for 2011?
I survived one of the worst years ever
Gained weight for the first time in 7 years (stress eating was back) and lost it all
Due to WLS lived to see my son married and I looked pretty damn good if I may say so for an old, former fat lady

You look so beautiful! And thanks for the long term inspiration!
My best WOW time other than getting to goal weight in April was a trip to Antarctica and South Georgia Island in February. It is so easy to travel now that I'm thin again! I also was hiking in the Sierras in California for 3 weeks in September.
Happy New Year!

I had to give this one some thought. I was able to hike at high elevations with my family without losing my breath. I was able to fit into a go-cart and race my children. I am continually shocked that my 31" Guess slim-fit jeans fit when I put them on. I can chase my family for days around Disneyland and never grow tired. And, I am no longer invisible to others (I still have no idea that I am now "visible" until I wa**** over the head to get the message across).
But, my biggest wow moment is that I am still at my lowest weight of 161 pounds. I wake up feeling heavier, go to the scale, and nope, it was all in my head, again!

Biggest wow for me was the addition of a rescue dog. We (I) named her Patti Cake. Our family has enjoyed this little dog found in the trash, so very much. I had no idea we were missing such a huge part of life without her. Our family dynamics have changed so much.
Next wow moment, I survived a bleeding ulcer......almost killed me. I am still healing, but since the surgery, this has been the biggest event to rock our family in a long time. Little things simply do not matter.
Most recent WOW moment, my son's truck was stolen. He managed to get through it with grace and dignity. We are all grateful he was not hurt or killed. Another reinforcement of how precious life is.
This year has been about focusing on the big picuture, and doing things that count for one another.
I will be glad to start a New Year, even though it means another birthday for me. (more prezzies, yeah)

Kathy,
You are so right on, one of my WOW moments was really making the decision to begin this journey and the feeling of empowerment this has brought.
Seeing pictures like yours inspires and encourages me to continue living each day in this new lifestyle. It makes the choices easier. Thank you for leading the way.
Christopher J-what amazing memories you're making. Your time with family and your children will be part of their memories forever. They will remember their father as an active, involved part of their life. You cannot pay for treasures like that!

You look awesome Gorgeous !!!
As far as MY moments ... well we finally bought " THE HOUSE " That took 14 MONTHS of work and is a HUGE achievement at least 4 ME ...
I successfully finished a big project though I have yet to make it pay ...

I have many people LOYAL to me and DEVOTED and hardworking FOR me ..and I need to put all that goodwill towards earning the INCOME I ( and THEY ) truly DESERVE ....
I feel there are so MANY possibilities , many opportunities opening up ....
....
Life is short and there ARE a lot of significant decisions and CHOICES every day .. I very much want to make the right ones ....better ones than in the past ...
