A letter to myself a year ago... Futureme.org

Dear FutureMe,
Tomorrow you are having gastric bypass surgery. Remember why you are having it. A year from now you may or may not be at your goal weight - if you're not, keep up the work. The surgery is just a tool, use it. I hope you're still sober, it's worth the pain to get to the growth.
Remember that I loved you enough to have this surgery to save your life. I love you and you are beautiful. You rock. Ya did the right thing. If you have a transfer addiction, get help for it. Are you riding your bike like you said you would? Where are you at with that black belt? Is your personal trainer on your **** list because she kicked your ass at working out? Have you said "I love you and thanks for your loving support" to Ricky today? Remind him where you were a year ago. What an awesome ride. You made it through surgery! I love you. Binda

Just thought I'd share.

I'm pretty much at my goal weight. I'm still sober. No, I don't ride my bike like I said I would. I never did sign up for that black belt (I started a business instead!!!) I never hired a personal trainer. And I am always telling my husband "Thank you"

Futureme.org is where I wrote a letter to myself a year ago, then the email came this morning. What a thrill. I had forgotten about it.

Peace
Binda

Thank You :)

Everything I have today regarding my weight loss however, comes from others. I have no original ideas.

If I did and they worked, then I wouldn't have spent the last 2-3 years on getting surgery and working the tool.

Support in a venture like this is everything!!
