excess skin on the face

You might want to take a look around the Plastic Surgery forum. I know some people have gotten face lifts and neck lifts after major weight loss. I think there's a procedure for eyelids too.

According to me, you should go to the doctor and ask him about your face skin. If possible by surgery then do otherwise leave it because you told us that it may be due to genes of your mom. And i heard many times that genetic problem or diseases are curable up to a certain limit.

Actually, I think you misread my post.  Mum looks about 20 years younger than she is.  She has excellent genes which I thought would spare me.  (She's 83 and there isn't a wrinkle on her face and very little sagging)  At the same time, she was never overweight so her skin hasn't been stretched like mine.

I take after her to a certain extent because for example I have no wrinkles on my forehead even though I'm almost 47, but my lifestyle has been different which is bound to have an effect.

Maybe my skin will bounce back but I doubt it will that much (i'm half way along weight loss now so I'm not looking to do anything just yet -just exploring my options)
