Insurance approval, now what?
Hi All,
I have been reading posts now for quite some time and decided to finally join. I have received psych approval, NUT approval, and just received insurance approval. I have an appointment next week to meet with my surgeon and hope to finally get a date. I am wondering, on average, how far out do they normally set your date...once you already have insurance approval?
Thank you!

Welcome!
The speed will depend on your individual cir****tances- your insurance requirements, how booked your surgeon is and what his/her requirements are, availability of the OR, etc.
Congratulations- you're in for the ride of your life!

Oh wow, oh wow - thank you for sharing your excitement with us - When I think about the process, the appointments, the pre-op preparations I say "how in the heck did I have the patience to do all that!".
But it's all worth it. But the "when" does depend on your surgeon's requirements for pre-op preparation. But whatever those requirements are, they are designed to make you more surgery-ready - and to prepare you for success.
Best of luck!

For me, my surgery was set for the following week (tomorrow
) after I heard that I was approved. It was super fast.
