Finally got a date!!!!

Finally got a date!!!   Hello all I finally got a date to have my surgery. I have been on this site along time finally made up my mind to go thru the process to take control of my life. So I can live a healthy life,   but yet I am experiencing so many mixed emotions right now.   Excited but don’t know what to expect for as the after surgery I really hate pain. So I am a big baby when it comes to that... So can some of you pls tell me your experience right after surgery?

I had RNY on 2/22/12 and right after surgery I felt WONDERFUL. My nurse told me that the next day I would be sore and she was right. My abdomen was tender and sore to get up and out of the hospital bed. The first night I was walking the floor with a nurse and was doing well. I really didn't have much pain at all. I came home in 2 days and only took 3 tsps on pain med over the course of 2 days. Then I have not taken anything. Pain was minimal and I have to stop and think if I have had surgery. A couple of the incisions are tender still but only  hurt if my puppy walks on them. Other then that I am really good!
