Veterans! Lets Paint a Picture for our Newbies!
Pic below is April 2004 and May 2012. How time flies! As for my top five...
1. Traveled and walked all over the place including to Italy, England, Bahamas, Vegas, and New Orleans (Berlin and Prague this summer!) When I was in Italy, I cried at the top of the tower of Pisa because I'd walked all the way to the top and couldn't believe it.
2. Bought a dress for my wedding this summer and have never felt more beautiful in anything in my life.
3. Skydived with my dad and fiance from 13,500 ft. up over the Virginia countryside!
4. Got my BA and Masters degrees and found a wonderful job at an academic library.
5. Ran a 5k for AIDS research and am running Warrior Dash in the fall for St. Jude's.

2) Have energy to exercise and exercising gives me energy
3) Able to keep up with my 5 kids and do things like RUN with them and coach little league
4) Buy clothing that really looks great. I always liked dressing well but its so different in a small than in a 3X or size 32 pants as oppsed to 44
5)Ashtma and High Blood pressure totally gone.
After: The shirt was a gag for Purim (Jewish equivilant of Halloween in terms of dress up)

Before: Overweight no energy for my kids or life.
1. My knees don't hurt anymore. I don't have to get cortizone shots in them anymore.
2. I can shop for clothes at regular stores and find things in my size that look good and don't cost a fortune.
3. I don't feel self-conscious about eating in front of people anymore.
4. I eat healthier, and I actually like the healthy food that I eat now. I"m not trying to deprive myself of yummy food so I can lose weight. I eat things that taste good and are also good for me.
5. I don't hungry all the time. I eat a small amount and feel satisfied and a few hours later, eat more. I used to feel like, in order to try to lose weight, I had to be hungry. And that make me cranky and miserable. And then I felt guilty if I ate. Now, I eat, I feel satisfied, it's all good.
