hi you had a origional surgery in 2010 than it says switched in 2012. would you mind explaining that to me.
i was sleeved in mexico feb 13 2012 ive lost 56.5 lol lbs. im still hungary. but greatful for even 1 lb

Hi Alina, I didn't get to goal with the sleeve alone so I got the duodenal switch to give me malabsorption so I can lose more weight. My stomach wasn't touched the 2nd time. With the DS you malabsorb 50% of protein and 80% of fat so those 2 are pretty free foods for a DSer.

You'd have to have a fair bit of weight left to lose to get the DS.

hi im new here, but either you or someone replied to your
origional post of encouragment with the serenity prayer. i love
that. i am 6plus months post op gastric sleeve and 4plus years
in recovery. keep smiling.

Hi Alina,

I have the Serenity Prayer in my signature line here on OH. I LOVE it too. Good luck to you on your journey. You really shouldn't feel hunger with the Sleeve since they are suppose to remove that part of your stomach. I have a son who was a drug addict for 14 yrs. and he is 1 year clean from his addiction. Congrats on your 4+ yrs. in recovery. Have a blessed weekend !!!

vivian that is wonderful about your son. since i am there along with him. i can tell you this. let him express his
truths even if its embarassing to hear. and remember its like one hour at a time to stay clean. i now hate who i was and any and all drugs. i hope every day is precious for him. congratulations to have your baby
back. vivian i am hungary. lol or cry. they say its a tool not a miracle. i was 304 now im 248. so im happy just
not proud of myself cause im still grazing. what about you?
