Maybe an adult is supposed to read it to her. I have a son in second grade and he didn't start reading until 1st grade and didn't really start reading well until this year.

That was my thought, and I think that's wonderful. More parents should take the time to read to their children. It only takes a little bit of your time and gives your kiddos a lifetime's worth of memories.

Some of my best memories are of my grandparents reading to me.  Wonderful stories---Alice in Wonderland, Treasure Island, King Arthur---all  the good stuff.

And some stuff about eating babies---YUM!!! (*grin*)
