How am I going to drink if I'm asleep???
You will start out sipping but as the swelling goes down you will be able to drink more at a time. Make sure you get in your protein drinks and as much water as possible.
I have sleep apnea and slept a lot like you do. I managed to get in enough fluids and protein drinks so that I never went to the e.r. for dehydration. I just sipped all the time I was awake. I always had a bottle of water with me and in my hands. Even when I was asleep.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing often.

I am really hoping that with this surgery I WILL be able to enjoy life more without sleeping half of it away!! I can only take part in one social activity a day now, so I must pick and choose which ones I do based on how long it will take. Its a sad life.
