really frustrated
I am really frustrated, I have only lost 6lbs over the past month. I am 4months post op I have lost 76lbs thus far. I can wear an 11/12 and some 10s depending on how made, sometimes I just feel like am stuck here at 206. I eat 600-800 calories per day. I am sorry if it seems like I am whining but noone else to talk to that knows how I feel.

Weight loss does slow down around the 6 month point but sometimes we just have slower months and hopefully next month will be better. You will probably be told to increase your calories and it can't really hurt as long as they are healthy calories. I would add another protein drink into the mix and see what happens. You body can adjust to very little calories so you don't want it to get too used to having so few calories. I found that my weight loss was very good when I got in at least 100 grams of protein and 100 oz of fluids. I also kept my carbs very low when I was losing weight, under 50 if possible.

Christy, don’t lose faith. The weight will come off. You cannot
eat only 600-800 calories and not lose weight. Your body has to adjust to the weight
loss by regulating your metabolism, blood sugar, and organ functions.
Now, I look back an I am kind of grateful I only lost 6-10 pounds in a month, because in
realty that is a lot for a person to lose on a monthly bases, and so far I have
no lose skin and I look healthy. Granted, I still have 20-25 pounds to go to reach goal.
Best of luck, Crissie
I did want to add, it is good to increase your calories
some because the change will help break the cycle, but be careful of the
protein. Yes, protein is good for us, but once you start to go over the limits
to risk gallstones and other disorders. You can figure out how much protein you
need by a simple formula:
Take your weight and divide it by 2.2. Then multiply it by 0.8.
Example is mine
172 / 2.2 = 78.1
78 x 0.8 = 62 grams a protein.
I usually consume 60- 68 grams a day. Hope this helps.

You have more than a year of the honeymoon period left. Five pounds a month would mean another 60 or 70 pounds. And the great part is that it will be easy to do. You don't have to do anything special. Get in your water, exercise, concentrate on meals with dense protein and low carbs.
Don't get discouraged. You will have many stalls along the way. In the end it will not matter what you weighed on any particular day during the journey. What counts is that you lose the weight and learn the good habits that will keep it off.

Stalls happen and they will several times as you lose. One thing I noticed is the need for new clothes every time my weight loss stalled. Start taking measurements to see where the changes are happening if not on the scale and it will keep you smiling.

we are about the same way out. Here is what I've found. When my calories are 500-600 I stop losing when I can get to 800 daily I lose. This isn't scientific by any means but I track on my fitness pal so I am watching the trends that matter to my body. I slowed down last month for two weeks but upped the calories as much as possible to get near 800 a day and it started back dropping.
Track your intake and activiity and see if you see a trend when you lose and aim for that intake.

Remember a long time ago I said lose the scale. Apparently you didn't, had you had you would be happy now in your size 10's and not staring at a number on the scale. You lost 76 pounds in 4 months. Read that outloud. Do you honestly think you body could continue to lose at that pace? Is that even remotely realistic? The answer is no. The scale is doing you no favors. You should be out enjoying wearing size tens not here *****ing about it, really, this is the fun part of the journey. Maintenance is where you have to really diet to maintain that weight, when you can eat A LOT more calories easily.
Now go enjoy and stop it!
