9 Years Post Op Plus One Day.
Hi Beth:
I like your standards. I do eat crackers with cheese! I did not give up chocolate. Those Easter eggs that the grandkids missed and I found one and two days later are proof that I still eat chocolate.
I cannot give up protein shakes and do have them as meal replacements.
I cannot eat very much. I try.
Thanks,
Linda
Congratulations on year 9 and here's to an amazing 10!
I really appreciate your posts and your honesty.
This couldnt have been a better post for me to see today. I am almost 3 years postop and struggling with 20 pounds and feeling like a failure. The shame is overwhelming. But like you pointed out, I am not journaling and I am using food, especially those simple carbs to deal with stress, old habits die hard. So it is never too late to get back on track. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Maria
Happy Surgiversary, it was my 8 year anniversary also. I marked the occasion with a whirlwind trip to Washington DC to photograph the monuments during the cherry blossom festival. We walked endlessly and barely ate as we didn't want to waste time standing in long lines, rather spend it hiking around and actually enjoying the beautiful weather and sights.
Keep up the good work, and congrats on stopping all that fake protein crap, it is all garbage created in a lab, eating real food is the only way to maintain.
